The Tarte Rainforest of the Body of water Vol. Iii palette

I've always been intrigued and a lilliputian bit dislocated by the name of Tarte's "Rainforest of the Bounding main" palettes.

Considering it'due south a footling disruptive, right? I picture a rainforest literally emerging from the sea similar an Amazonian Atlantis, or something from a kids cartoon.

There's absolutely no way sober people came up with information technology.

Tarte's latest color canopy, the Rainforest of the Ocean Volume III Palette, is available now for $36.

Yup, they made a third i!

I don't know if yous remember the second one, simply I idea it was epic. Epic.

I never tried the first Rainforest of the Sea palette (my friend Jessica reviewed it for MBB), but I dear the heck out of the second i and its beautiful, buttery, satiny blues and browns.

They're to dice for and so creamy. Easy to alloy too.

I meet yous, shimmer!

Volume III is more metal. It has seven loftier polish metallics and one matte beige. Like Book Two, the shadows are a super creamy combination of a pulverisation and a cream, and they feel slightly boisterous, then y'all can practically blend them in yo' sleep.

Or, when you're half-awake because you lot didn't get enough slumber, ha!

I'thou wearing Jewel and Rays mixed together on my lids, and Tiki in the pucker. The lip is NARS Powermatte in Get It On topped with MAC Lipglass in Goldfinch. Cheeks are MAC Sunbasque Chroma.

I've been enamored with copper, bronze, gold and rose gold lately (lately for years), and I'd hoped this palette would allow me to add petty of my metal pick du jour on my lids with a blending brush, throw on some liner and mascara, and and then go along to #livemybestlife (which, these days, includes Googling things like "Why is my toddler touching her poop?").

The thing is, these shadows are messy equally all heck to employ. I hateful, not old-school Urban Decay or NYX shadow messy, but messy enough to brand make me remember to always do my eyes first with them (which I'm glad I did today).

I think they're gorgeous and might even make my eyes look brighter when I wear them. Plus, they don't budge for at to the lowest degree seven hours when I layer them on top of Tarte Lid Lock.

Swatches from the top: Tiki, Rut Wave, Malibu, Rays, Compass, Jewel, Treasure and Escape

The Rainforest of the Sea family products all contain something Tarte calls their "Rainforest of the Sea Circuitous," a alloy of algae and marine bloom extracts that are supposed to make fine lines and wrinkles less noticeable when you wearable 'em.

I dunno about that… Betwixt the hefty hunks of shimmer and highly reflective metallics, my hat lines are like, "Hey, girl. How You lot doin'?"

I get it. These are highlighting shadows. But they too highlight my lines, oy!

Reminds me of peacock feathers for some reason…

I beloved the creamy consistency and the colors, only I wish Tarte had stuck to their satin cease, instead of going total-on metallic.

That said, if you aren't trippin' over chapeau lines and don't mind making a scrap of a mess, I say get for it.
